On the 7th and 8th of March, the ABC participated in Math Relay and Mathcounts (Applied problem solving) events, which took place in Monterrey, Mexico and organised by the Instituto Americano de Monterrey (AIM).
Our participants represented their school and their country with great pride. These seventh and eighth graders displayed a high level of preparation, obtaining first place in the Math Relay portion, with a perfect score and best time out of all the teams, as well as two Mathcounts trophies, with Team A winning second place and Team B winning 3rd place.
The different teams represented various states throughout Mexico and two Central American countries. Even amongst this high level of competition, half of the ABC's delegation obtained a spot in the top 20 spots of the tournament, and ended up being the school with the most representation among the top 20.
The ABC Bulldogs returned home feeling extremely proud and satisfied to have represented their school and country so well.
Los días 7 y 8 de marzo, la Academia Británica Cuscatleca participo en las competencias de Mathrelay (Relevo Matemático) y Mathcounts(Resolución de problemas aplicados) llevadas a cabo en Monterrey, México por el American Instituto of Monterrey (AIM). Representando con mucho orgullo, los colores de El Salvador y la Academia. Diez estudiantes del séptimo y octavo grado mostraron un alto nivel de preparación, logrando un primer lugar en el Math Relay con el mejor tiempo y marcador perfecto, así como dos trofeos en el Mathcounts. Un segundo lugar para el equipo A y un tercer lugar para el equipo B.
Cada grupo de la competencia en los eventos tenían 15 equipos que representaron a diferentes estados de México y dos países de América Central. También la Academia Británica coloco la mitad de su equipo en el top 20 de la competencia, siendo el equipo con mayor representación de todos.
Con mucho orgullo los Bulldogs de la ABC regresaron felices y satisfechos de haber representado a El Salvador y su colegio con honores.
