UK Trip 2017/ Viaje al Reino Unido 2017

As  a yearly ABC tradition, our Grade 5 students took off for the UK at the end of June for 3 weeks of fun and British culture.

The students who go on this trip not only get to visit renowned British landmarks such as Windsor Castle, Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace, they also take part in different activities such as rafting and visits to amusement parks, among others.

This trip not only brings students up close to the one of our school's cultures, it also allows them to foster independence and international mindedness; two traits we value enormously at the ABC.

UK Trip information meetings for current Grade 5 parents will be advertised soon, so be on the lookout if your child is interested in participating the coming year.

Como es tradición anual en la ABC, algunos alumnos de 5to grado visitaron el Reino Unido, partiendo a finales de junio para vivir 3 semanas de diversión y empaparse de la cultura británica.

Los estudiantes que participan en el viaje no solo tienen la oportunidad de visitar sitios conocidos del Reino Unido como Windsor Castle, Tower Bridge y Buckingham Palace, también llevan a cabo diferentes actividades como rafting y excursiones a parques de diversiones, entre otros.

Este viaje no solo acerca a los alumnos a una de las culturas de nuestro colegio, también les da la oportunidad de trabajar en su independencia y mentalidad con enfoque global; dos cualidades que valoramos enormemente en la ABC.

Las reuniones informativas para el siguiente viaje al Reino Unido se anunciarán próximamente, por lo que les recomendamos estar pendientes si sus hijos están interesados en participar el próximo año.

IGCSE Results 2017/ Resultados de IGCSE 2017

Congratulations to the Class of 2019 for their excellent IGCSE examination results!

Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds. It is recognised by leading universities and employers worldwide, and is an international passport to progression and success. Developed over 25 years ago, it is tried, tested and trusted by schools worldwide.

This year, 93% of our Grade 10s received 5 or more grades between A* and C, which lets us know that the class of 2019 is thoroughly prepared to succeed during their upcoming IB years.

We would especially like to congratulate Sebastián Carranza, Nicolás Ahues, Michael Van Breukelen and Sebastián Avilés for obtaining the top IGCSE grades in their year group. Michael is the Millennium Scholar for the Class of 2019.

Congratulations to all the students for their effort and our teachers for their continued support.

¡Felicidades a la clase del 2019 por sus excelentes resultados en los exámenes IGCSE!

El programa de IGCSE de Cambridge es el título internacional más popular para jóvenes entre los 14 y 16 años. Es reconocido por las mejores universidades del mundo, así como también empleadores. Se considera un pasaporte hacia el progreso y el éxito. Con más de 25 años de trayectoria, los colegios alrededor del mundo confían mucho en el programa.

Este año, el 93% de los alumnos de 10o grado obtuvieron cinco o más notas entre A* y C, lo cual nos comprueba que la clase del 2019 esta completamente preparada para ser exitosa durante los próximos años de IB.

Nos gustaría hacer una mención especial a Sebastián Carranza, Nicolás Ahues, Michael Van Breukelen y Sebastián Avilés por obtener las mejores notas de IGCSE dentro de la promoción. Michael es el Millennium Scholar de la clase 2019.

IB Results- Class of 2017/ Resultados de IB - Clase del 2017

Congratulations to the Class of 2017 for their excellent IB examination results!

We are very proud of the Class of 2017, as they achieved very pleasing results with most of them obtaining the full IB diploma . Our average point score was 30 points and our top student was Mayra Salazar Volkmann with 41 points. Many of these students have begun their university careers or are preparing to do so and we would like to wish them the very best in their future endeavors.

The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is recognized and respected by the world’s leading universities, and evidence suggests that higher rates of DP students go on to university and higher education study than non-IB students.

¡Felicidades a la clase del 2017 por sus excelentes resultados de IB!

Estamos muy orgullosos de la clase del 2017, ya que lograron muy buenos resultados, y la mayoría obtuvieron el diploma completo. Nuestro puntaje promedio fue de 30 puntos y nuestro mejor alumno fue Mayra Salazar Volkmann, quien sumó 41 puntos. Muchos de estos alumnos ya dieron inicio a sus carreras universitarias, o se están preparando para hacerlo, por lo que les queremos desear lo mejor en sus proyectos a futuro.

El  Diploma Programme del Bachillerato Internacional® (BI) es reconocido y respetado por las mejores universidades del mundo, y se ha demostrado que los alumnos que han llevado el Diploma Programme, continúan con estudios universitarios y educación superior más que aquellos que no han llevado acabo el Bachillerato internacional.
