It has been a great two weeks since we started school on the 22nd of August, with everyone transitioning to new grades and responsibilities with ease.
A key element to ensure this transition is as smooth as possible for everyone in our community, are our "Welcome to School" and "Know your School" evenings.
During these events, parents have the opportunity to hear from various members of the ABC's leadership team, Madres Enlace and their child's teachers. The occasion is also convenient to discuss any doubts or concerns that parents might have in terms of their child's school life.
This past Tuesday, we began with our "Welcome to School" evening for parents of Pre-Kinder and Kinder, and we are happy to report a fantastic attendance rate.
Not only did parents get to discuss what their children would be learning during the course of this academic year, they also had Mr. Keslake and Mrs. Short explain how their activities in Pre-kinder and Kinder fit into the ABC's long term goal of creating responsible, outstanding citizens.
As our community settles back into the rhythm of being back at school, we understand that schedules tend to become busier, yet we cannot stress the importance of attending these evenings enough, as
each night is carefully planned to fit the needs of each particular grade level.
We know this is only the beginning of what we are sure will be a highly successful year, and we look forward to seeing you at these events next week.
Han sido dos muy buenas semanas desde que iniciamos clases el 22 de agosto, con todos haciendo la transición a un nuevo grado y nuevas responsabilidades con bastante facilidad.
Un elemento clave para asegurar el éxito de dicha transición para todos los miembros de nuestra comunidad, son nuestras noches de "Welcome to School" y "Back to School".
Durante estos eventos, nuestros padres de familia tienen la oportunidad de escuchar a varios miembros del equipo de liderazgo de la ABC, Madres Enlace y los profesores de sus hijos. Esta ocasión también sirve para discutir cualquier duda o preocupación que los padres puedan tener en cuanto a la vida académica de su hijo.
Este martes, dimos inicio con nuestra "Welcome to School" night para Pre-Kinder y Kinder, y estamos muy felices de reportar un excelente nivel de asistencia.
Los padres no solo se enteraron de lo que sus hijos estarán aprendiendo durante el año escolar, también Mr. Keslake y Mrs. Short les explicaron como las actividades de Pre-Kinder y kinder caben dentro de nuestra visión a largo plazo de crear ciudadanos responsables y sobresalientes.
Comprendemos que con el inicio de clases, las agendas se vuelven más apretadas para todos, pero no podemos dejar de enfatizar la enorme importancia de asistir a estas reuniones, ya que cada una ha sido cuidadosamente diseñada según las necesidades de cada grado.
Sabemos que este es solo el inicio de lo que estamos seguros se convertirá en un año de mucho éxito, y los esperamos en estos eventos durante el transcurso de la próxima semana.
